On15th Nov.1945, Mahatma Gandhiji inaugurated the 1200 ft road constructed in Khadakwasla village, by our Rotary Club of Poona and he also paid a visit to the medical centre, where our Rotarian Doctor members used to visit the patients. About 4000-5000 villagers came to hear Gandhiji's talk tjat day. Today, is the 75th anniversary of the historic visit & the grampanchayat of Khadakwasla village, invited President Bharat & the BOD members, to attend the celebrations & felicitation of all senior members of the village, who witnessed Mahatmaji's visit. And they have also decided to name that particular chowk as Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi chowk.
