SOMETHING SPECIAL

*In the year 1951-52 President J W MacBain, the first Director of National Chemical Laboratory, suggested having a nominating committee to recommend the names of the Board of Directors for the next year, for approval by the BOD/general body at the Club’s annual general meeting. We are proud to say that the Rotary Club of Poona is the originator of this concept of Nominating Committee and this was adopted by Rotary International for all clubs to follow all over the world.
*We are proud to have been accociated with initial development of two distinguished Institutions for the city of Pune (MCCIA and Symbiosis).
*In the year 2006-07, we started the concept of “Mother & Child” which was later adopted by RID3131 and , thereafter, by Rotary International.
