| Minutes of Meeting | On the 11th of February, the Rotary Club of Poona orchestrated a captivating vocational visit to the Chitale Bandhu Factory in Khed Shivapur. A total of 41 attendees, including Rotarians, Anns, and their guests, eagerly boarded the bus from Poona Club at 1 pm. The well-coordinated bus ride, spearheaded by Rtn. Manohar and Rtn. Trupti, featured arrangements by our President Nominee, Rtn. Rohit, ensuring everyone stayed hydrated for the road trip. Arriving at the factory around 2:30 pm, we were warmly welcomed by the HR head and other staff members. A detailed video presentation showcased the history of the Chitale family and the continual evolution of their business. We discovered that their globally renowned products, including the iconic Bakarwadi, were crafted using machines imported from Germany, Netherlands, Brazil, etc., modified to suit their unique processes. During the presentation, each attendee was treated to a full plate of Bakarwadi and Kaju Katli – resistance was futile, and the plates were emptied in seconds. |
