| Minutes of Meeting | Dr. Iyer, the current president of Rotary Club of Poona Downtown, is an economist, professor, consultant, musician and linguist who can deliver speeches in eight different languages! The topic of his talk this evening was Wow...Indians! Though the talk was meant to be and was predominantly in English, Dr. Iyer moved back and forth between Hindi, Punjabi and Malayali for greater effect. In his inimitable style combined with his keen observation he zeroed in on the peculiarities of language, mannerisms and articulation skills of different communities and gave it all a humorous twist to explain how Indians as an ethnic group have attained a position of prominence all over the world.
