Yesterday’s event - “Dandiya Raas” - was perhaps the most successful event organised by our club in the last two decades! In spite of heavy rains almost a 1000 odd people from all age groups turned up. So much so that because the hall space wasn’t enough, the crowd occupied the entire stage also. The music was great & the crowd went in to a Frenzy of dancing ? which was worth watching! I thank all the participants, our club members who turned up, our main sponsors Venky’s & others including our Rotarians who contributed, the efforts of fellow Lady Rotarians like Jayashree & Vaijayanti, who collected good sums of money, the judges, the security provided by Col. Kohli & PDG Vivek’s personal staff, the DJ, the vendors & Poona club for the excellent food & the venue. Our photographer Nuruddin.
