The first program on road safety took off with a bang in Mahadji Shinde school Wanawadi. A total of 437 children and 20 teachers attended the event. President Admiral Taneja introduced the children to Rotary culture. First Lady Suraj Taneja who has this project very close to her heart explained why every one needs to be careful on roads.The program started with the movie "PAHELA KADAM" Children were so engrossed that they could answer the questions on movie aptly,each one got a gift for that.The skit enacted by Shinde school children stole the heart of the audience that it had to be repeated on popular demand.Inspector Gajre with his team of 3 ASIs made the show more interesting and meaningful by emphasizing on safe driving and safe walking. Rtn. Vinod Mathurawala member Pune Cantt board, attended and encouraged the children to follow rules. Rtn.Brig.shyam thanked the traffic police team. Rtn. Pratibha Kataria gave an overall vote of thanks.The event was attended byRotarians Dr Deshpande, R/Ann Sunanda Luthra, R/Ann Usha Magon and Rtn. Maithali. The show was conducted by R/AnnMadhvi and R/Ann Sunita Lal. Active Participation from the Traffic Police constables helped in this traffic awareness Initiative.
